More information and photos to follow.  (We have a couple of hundred photos of the event.  I shall look at uploading these over the coming week or so.)

Eastnor Seven ready to go

finishing-line-setup.jpgWe set out the mile markers, finishing gate, etc this morning.  The course is quite firm under foot, so we will be all ready for the runners to arrive for the 11:00 start tomorrow morning (Sunday, 19 April).  Race numbers will be given out on the day so allow a bit of time before the race to pick up your number - or to register if you have not already done so.

As you can see it is quite a stunning finish, although I expect you will be concentrating on this finish sign, rather than the castle in the distance.

Our neighbours over the hill have announced:

Malvern Joggers present their inaugural 10km race [on Wednesday, 17th June starting at 7:30 pm]. This is a scenic summer evening run against the backdrop of the Malvern Hills around Welland, Castlemorton Common and Little Malvern.

The course is undulating and run mainly over tracks, footpaths and fields although there are short sections of tarmac, which make it unsuitable for spikes. Depending on the weather before the event, there may also be some mud! There will be a water station at the halfway point and also at the finish of the race

The race headquarters is at Welland Village hall, Marlbank Road Welland, WR13 6NE (Click here for a Google map). Race numbers will be issued from here and entries taken on the night. There are car parking and toilet facilities at the Village hall and also at the nearby Pheasant Inn. Please follow the marshal’s directions for parking

The start and finish of the race is on Castlemorton Common approximately 500m (5 -10 mins walk) from the race HQ.
