There were 118 finishers for the 2012 Magnificent Eastnor Castle Seven.

The first man was John Parker of CLC Striders for the third year running, in a time of 40:27 (compared to 40:08 for last year, but the course was different and included a stile this year).

The first woman was Emma Gould of Serpentine Running Club in a time of 49:51.

The site map of the Eastnor Deer Park shows the "Boneyard Field" where the 2012 Magnificent Eastnor Seven will start and finish. Enter the Deer Park off the A438 through the main entrance, following the road along the South-East side of the 23 acre field. Marshals will be directing car parking.

Easyrunners run Sunday 29th Jan

Easyrunners - Sunday Nov 20th

Chris and Bruce will take the Easyrunners group for an approx seven mile road run this Sunday, please meet at Ledbury Market House for a 9am start, obviously all club members are welcome to come along, be prepared for some off road running, route has not been decided yet!!.

Easyrunners Tuesday 7th June

The Easyrunners group will meet at 6.30pm on Tuesday 7th June at Ledbury Market House for a 6.45pm start, the run will take in some of the local woods and beyond, the plan is to do a run of approx 4.5 - 5 miles in the woods, so nearly all the running will be on trails and tracks, some will be a bit steep, don't panic, we can walk the steep bits. Should the weather be warm, suggest you bring a drinks bottle along. Also, anyone who reacts to nettles might want to wear a light pair of running tights instead of shorts.

Park in the High Street, or the nearby car parks, which are free after 6pm.

We'll see you next Tuesday - 6.30pm at the Market House

Eastnor Seven 2011 Results

On a gloriously sunny spring morning we had 138 runners complete the 2011 Magnificent Eastnor Castle Seven

First man was John Parker of CLC Striders, who was also last year's winner, in a time of 40:08, shaving almost a minute off his previous time of 41:02.

First woman was Kim Mazzuca in 48:24 - a new ladies' course record.

Race update 9th April

Thankfully the weather is due to be warm, 19'C and sunny tomorrow, so make sure you have plenty of fluid's on board!!. Car parking will be in the 23 acre field next to the start / finish area, please follow the signs and park as directed, facing downhill so that you can exit the field via the bottom gate. The gate into the Deer Park will on 'remote access' so you should have no problems entering / leaving the Deer Park.

The Magnificent Eastnor Castle Seven 2011 - Update

Prerace entries have now reached 70 which is approx 40% up on 2010. The course will remain the same as 2010, details of which can be found under 'Recent Entries', at present the cattle grid nearest to the Obelisk will not be covered as we will have access to the side gate. Unless the weather changes we should be able use the 23 acre field for car parking, adjacent to the start / finish area, any changes to this will be posted to this website.

The first man and lady home will receive a voucher courtesy of Clubsport, Ledbury towards the purchase of a pair of Adidas running shoes, other prizes will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, 1st place in Vet 40, 50 and 60 male and female, team prize also for the 1st male and female affiliated team. Should for example, 1st male place go to a Vet 40, then the 2nd placed Vet 40 will receive the Vet 40 prize, this will apply to all catagories.

For local runners whose postcode lies within a seven mile radius of the Absolute Fitness Gym in Ledbury there is the opportunity to win membership to the gym, 1st male and female will receive 6 months membership, 2nd male and female will receive 3 months membership, this applies to both affiliated and unaffiliated runners.

Easy Runners Group starts 1st February

A new Easy Runners group will start on 1st February - ideal for new runners or anyone returning to running after a break. It will meet at the Ledbury Rugby Club at 6:45pm (at the same time as the main running group), and will last an hour, consisting of a warm up followed by walking and running.

Following the latest club meeting held on Friday 14th Jan, please note that club runs will commence promptly at 6.45pm on Tuesday and 7pm on Thursday. It's up to individuals to ensure that they arrive on time.

The club run on Tues 24th August will start from the Weston's car park at Much Marcle, Steve Rooke will take us on a route along the surrounding lanes.

Meet at Weston's for a 6.45pm start, Ledbury based members meet at LRFC car park at 6.30pm to car share.
